Rebel or Retreat?

Two Souls Taken by Ignorance and Inaction

Rebel or Retreat?
A Call to Action as Reaction

So hopefully now you’re awake; If not yet awake, then at least disturbed in your peaceful slumber. Another dead body, another person deemed not human enough in death to serve justice to the offender. Emotions are flooding the country from every possible viewpoint.
Some think we should riot and I understand this. They want to let their raw emotions and hurts out and can only think to do that physically, destroying what they did not help to build. While it would certainly be cathartic to take our frustrations out on the first thing we see, this overall would be futile. Not to mention the countless other “Trayvons” this will lead to. Free TVs and broken windows do not bring back the dead, nor make the living change . If at all, it would only serve to inspire more fear and hate, the reason we are here today.
Some think we should march or organize a vote. We’ve done that already . We’ve been talking and marching and voting for nearly sixty years since they shipped Emmett Till’s body back to Chicago beaten, burned, lynched and drowned. We have passed law after law only to be met with counter-law after counter-law. We have shouted at everyone who can be shouted at and ranted at so many deaf ears that our voices are just background noise. One more corporate sponsored march and government sanctioned rally will not prevent another rope strung, bullet fired, or crooked judiciary from sitting.
Some think we should just accept our fate. We have been powerless to stop the oppressor’s from carrying out countless attacks on their subservient, and even kill ourselves, so what is the point? I also understand this. That’s the mentality of a broken slave. A broken slave will choose to retreat rather than regroup, resolve rather than revolt,  and reason rather than rebel. That time has also passed. It is now legal precedent to kill those whom you do not agree with if you can raise enough suspicion as to the events circumstance. It was always unspoken, but now there is legal backing.  Your chains are becoming heavier.
America, founded on the promise of gold, built on propensity for wealth, murderous in its expansion, and promoted as the land of prosperity has always worshiped money; it has no other god.    Freedom has never been an aspect of this land.  There exist the illusion of Freedom as Liberty, but liberties are granted, not innate.  Liberties can be stripped or limited to a certain race, class, gender, religion, or otherwise identified grouping of people.  Those who control the commerce of such a state control the granting of liberties. Those without control of the commerce, or in layman’s terms the means in which a ruling power enforces its regulation in a system built on capitol, are left in subjection to those who do. However, there is a loophole.
While the ruling class does maintain the production of capitol, regulates the value of capitol, and the expansion of capitol, they have neglected to plan for the situation in which the “capitol” becomes captured, withheld, grows stagnant, or in the case of oppressed in America, self aware that is alive and not a commodity.
We live in a country which trades on credit, not capitol. We live in a country that does not consider money capitol, but the people which hold the money. There are decisions made in your county, state, and country which hinge of your life, not your income. You are but a sacrifice before the alter of Mammon.
When you see soldiers die, you see a number of dead, not names of the dead. When you see babies born, you see a statistic, not the faces of families.  The nightly news reports the rise and fall of stock, not of your safety of security. The enforcers protect and serve the property, not the patriots. And race is no longer the determining factor of oppression. Ideology, religion, class, and level of assimilation are quickly becoming more dominant factors.
Now specifically, what owe we to the question of Florida? What is the reaction? What is the appropriate response to such an outlandish offense to humanity? Should we retaliate with violence for violence? Should we beg before the master’s door for equality? Should we thank the master for our whipping and promise to do better? I’ll tell you what we do- We walk off the plantation and pray anyone who dare stop us learn quickly that it is a mistake to do so.
Do not misunderstand what I am calling for. Do not go and murder your neighbors. Do not destroy what you did not build. Do not rob the honest man, or murder the innocent one. Simply let the dying man die, and help the living man live.
Florida has signed its beliefs into the blood of a seventeen year old. Will you continue to side with murderers? Will you accept with bowed head the ruling class’ statement to “eat cake”? Or will you throw off the rule of the Despots?
I am calling for a complete and utter boycott of all Floridian products and services. This includes but is not limited to products produced by Florida manufacturers, exports shipped from or through Florida as opposed to other ports, all Florida tourism, halted support of Florida based sports and entertainment, halted support of any company maintaining a headquarters in Florida, and a removal of money from Florida based money centers and financial accounts.
I would also encourage any students who have means to consider transferring out of any state sponsored school. I would encourage supporters to remove your children from the Florida Public School System and engage in homeschooling where possible. Ultimately, if you have the means, I would also suggest an abandonment of the state completely.

Emmett Till lynched in Louisiana...
The reasons should be clear as to why I am calling for such drastic measures. The verdict passed the evening of July 13, 2013 was done so based on a law that has allowed what has been deemed by a judge as a “reasonable” killing as a result of feeling “threatened”.  A man paid by your tax dollars in the state has made this ruling. The number self defense cases have tripled since the law’s implication.

As I’ve stated before, violence, marching, and voting have yet to change this law or see it altered to actually protect anyone. So, there is but one discourse left which is the abandonment of the system that supports the law. This means that you remove yourself, your money, and your support from any institution which does not oppose this atrocity to continue.

....Trayvon Martin lynched in Florida
By continuing to buy, sell, study, and reside in Florida, you are continuing to  By removing yourselves out of the equation, Florida will then be pressured to either adjust its system of government in order to recover lost commerce and appease the people, or in its refusal fall to a state of economic emergency due to civil non participation.
support the Floridian Government and its laws with your sales and property taxes, as well providing for federally mandated funds to be given to the state for the purpose of education, general welfare, security and other government services.
I will follow up this post with a detailed listing of Floridian companies, banks, exports, state funded schools, state funded services and other economic holdings contributed to by active participation of Florida citizens, visitors, and commercial participants.
Understand that this is not a one day, one week, or possibly even one year endeavor. It is a not as explosive as a violent riot, or as loud as a raucous rally, but it is far more damaging than either one. This is not the time for rhetoric or for riots; It is a time for revolution.
